Rolly Kyler

It's spring, and he's feeling spry again in the sun and the soft grass. It's nice to watch and you can't help but smile.

No Gas Needed

You can't really enjoy the smell of fresh cut grass when it's tainted by exhuast.

Best advertising campaign

Was walking the Pearl district in Portland and a guy had this beautiful girl and her sister out front squirming about. Everyone was stopping to say hi.

Seattle through the rain

Inadvertent effect of the water still on the lens from putting the camera underwater, but I like it.

Retro-esque macro worm

The parking lost was the scene of a mass migration of worms...just not really sure where they were all trying to go. Got real personal with this guy.

Just YUM

My first attempt at a food shot. Considering the camera, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, while astounded by the food itself :)

Bringing some weekend to work

Oh, the smile on my face when I came out for lunchbreak and realized that I still had some weekend following me around :)

Inviting nature

Funny to see these little guys be so trusting of humans. I found the experience reassuring that we can still be a part of the things around us, even with our gore-tex, snow shoes, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in tow.

Powerful photos for earth

A collection of photos recently recently released by the EPA from an effort called Documerica. These are the photos that awoke the minds of the masses around needing to act as stewards for the planet.

Rockwell tanker

HDR of what I consider a beautiful tanker truck. Felt like the same texture as a Rockwell painting.

CB550

Close-up of the rear section of my CB550. I feel like this photo puts the bike back in 1977.

Kyler blending in

He held a perfect pose through multiple exposures, allowing for the HDR composition.

The Green Tree

Growing proudly under the gray bridge, this super green tree was a delight! Jen cruising by on the Necky Eliza kayak.

Paddling the Chatham

Wrapped in blue. Paddling on Lake Union, testing the Necky Chatham kayak. I'm sold and now have one on the way!

Paddle Commuters

iPhone photo, so obviously the clarity is lacking...but the subjects are great! I had no idea there is a contingent in Seattle of people that paddle to and from their homes! The guy paddleboarding on the right is going home for the evening to his houseboat on Lake Union.
Jen and I were paddling kayaks from Northwest Outdoor Center. I think we've settled on a couple boats, both by Necky: Eliza and Chatham
What a great late afternoon break! Headed out tomorrow for another trip to NWOC. We have to wait a couple few weeks for our kayaks to show up, so in the meantime we'll be taking their kayaks out for some training efforts.
